Participation in group clinical supervision with your peers will enrich your learning experience and your ability to navigate direct service work practice. Through collaboration and sharing in this universal experience, you will receive guidance from group members who work in a variety of clinical settings. With group supervision, peer consultation will add depth to your skill set if you are interested in learning about work environments and areas of social work outside of your own. Group supervision also provides a way to network with others in the field.
Currently, group supervision occurs once each month for 2 hours, in addition to 2 hours of individual supervision session per month. This enables you to have ample time to discuss cases and needs in a collaborative group setting while also having access to individual consultation that is tailored to your unique interests.
Additional components of group supervision may include:
Case Presentations
Articles and resources that will add to your skill set
An emphasis on social justice and macro-level issues as it relates to clinical work
Attentiveness to TSBSWE guidelines toward clinical licensure
